The 8th grade girls took first place this weekend in the MSP/USSSA Fall Brawl held at Okun in Shawnee, Ks and New Century Fieldhouse in Gardner, Ks. The girls went 4-0 defeating the MV Blazers, Timberwolves Silver and Timberwolves Black.

The 7th grade girls competed in the Shawnee Mission MAYB Tournament over the weekend. This was their first tournament together in over two months. The girls didn't miss a beat finishing 2-1 taking 1st place with wins over the Lady Tigers and Timberwolves. Their loss came to the Phenom Comets. The 3rd boys, 9th girls, and HS girls are playing in the KC Premiere Fall League.

The 8th girls and 7th boys both brought home championships over the weekend. The 8th girls participated in two tournaments playing six games in two days. They went 3-0 finishing first in the 4Real Sports Back 2 School Bash at 68's Inside Sports. While finishing 3rd in the Shawnee Mission MAYB Tournament. The 7th Boys went 2-0 with wins of 61 to 19 and 91 to 25 on their way to the championship of the 4Real Sports Back to School Bash. The 9th grade girls also competed this weekend finishing 3rd in the MAYB Tournament and the High School girls finished 4th in the 4Real Sports Tournament.

The 9th Grade Girls finished 2nd out of 37 teams last weekend in the MAYB Summer Kickoff held in the Wichita, Ks. area. The girls defeated the Iowa Lightning, Missouri Triple Threat, St. Joseph Cardinals, Team Oklahoma and the South Dakota Thunder with their only loss coming in the championship game vs. the North Texas Shockers. The 6th Grade Girls also competed in the tournament finishing 3 and 3. The track team will be back in action this weekend in Liberty, Mo.

Four Force teams competed in the Leavenworth MAYB tournament over the weekend. The 4th Grade Girls went 4-1 bringing home the championship defeating the Louisburg Wildcats, Lady Pirates and Lady Bears. The 6th Grade Select Boys went 4-2 finishing in 2nd place in the 7th grade division with wins over the Lansing Lions, KC Spartans and Royal Valley Panthers. Their two loses came to the Basehor Bobcats 7th grade team. The 8th Grade Girls also took 2nd place with a 4-1 record deafeating the Lawrence Firebirds, Mound City Panthers, Effingham Tigers, and Omaha Crusaders. Their only lose came to the Louisburg Wildcats in the championship game. The High School Girls finishes with a 2-3 record taking 3rd place in their bracket. This coming weekend the 9th and 6th Grade Girls will be traveling to Wichita, KS. for the MAYB Summer Kickoff. Good luck to both teams. The Kansas Force held it first track meet over the weekend at Leavenworth High School with over 450 youth athletes from across the midwest in attendence. The meet ran smooth starting at 8am and finishing at 6pm. It was a long day and a lot of hard work but with the help of the Force Family we pulled it off. Full results of the track meet can be found on the track and field page. On the basketball side league play wrapped up for the 9th girls, 5th girls, 3rd Select Boys, and 2nd Boys. The 8th Girls took 2nd in the JC Premiere Spring Fling Tournament with the High School Girls taking 3rd. The High School Girls, 8th Grade Girls and 6th Grade Select Boys will head to Bonner Springs, Ks. this coming weekend for a MAYB Tournament.

The 6th Grade Select Boys went 4-0 winning the 4Real Sports USSSA Claasic held in Lenexa, Ks. On their way to the championship they defeated Hoops KC, Raiders, Up Tempo, and the Prowlers. The 3rd Grade Boys also took part in the tournament going 2-2 finishing 2nd. They deafeated the Patriots and KC Keys with their loses coming to the Thundercats. The Okun Spring League wrapped up this weekend. The 4th Girls and 3rd boys finished with perfect records and took 1st place. The 8th Girls lost one game and 4th Boys lost two. Both teams finished in 2nd place. Saturday May 21st the Force will be hosting an AAU District Qualifying Track Meet at Leavenworth High School starting at 8am. Come out and join the fun.

Another busy week found the Force competeing in 27 league and tournament games. Five teams competed in the Bruins for Berls Benefit Tournament in Independence, Mo. All proceeds from the tournamnet went to Ms. Berls an elementary school teacher in Independence who has terminal cancer. The 3rd Select Boys and 8th Girls went 3-0 bringing home championships. The boys defeated three Patriots teams and the girls took care of the two Patriots teams and KC & 1. The 4th Grade Girls went 2-1 taking 2nd place. 5th Boys 2-2 3rd place. 6th Select Boys played tough in the 7th/8th division losing two close games and guard Bryan Blanks with a broken arm in the first half of the first game. 4th Girls will be playing in the Shawnee Mission MAYB Tournament next weekend. League games also continue next weekend. League records; 9th Grade Girls 1-0, 8th Grade Girls 6-0, 5th Grade Girls 2-2, 4th Grade Girls 6-0, 4th Grade Boys 4-1, 3rd Grade Select Boys 3-1, 3rd Grade Boys 6-0, and 2nd Grade Boys 1-2. The Kansas Force's first track meet was Saturday at Washington High School. The meet went great with many Force participants placing. Meet results are posted on the track and field page.

Another busy week found the Force competeing in 22 league and tournament games notching an impressive 18-4 record combined. The 3rd Grade Select Boys were champions of the MAYB Tournament held in Shawnee Mission with a record of 3-0 defeating the Thunder, Kan Do Hoops, and KC Premiere. The 9th Grade Girls also played in the 9th/10th division going 3-1 and coming out with an impessive 2nd place finish in their first tounament. 6th Grade Girls
won the 7th Grade JC Premiere Summer Jam Kickoff going 2-0 with wins over the Tigers and Dreamteam. 5th Grade Boys brought home 2nd place with a record of 2-1 missing 1st place by three points in overtime. League records; 8th Grade Girls 4-0, 5th Grade Girls 1-1, 4th Grade Girls 5-0, 4th Grade Boys 3-1, 3rd Grade Select Boys 2-1, 3rd Grade Boys 4-0, and 2nd Grade Boys 1-1. First track meet is April 30th at Washington High School in Kansas City, Ks.

It was a busy weekend for the Force, 27 games were played between leagues and tournaments. The 8th Grade Girls and 6th Grade Select Boys both were perfect with 4-0 records winning the Supreme Sports Spring Shootout held in Independence, Mo. The 2nd Grade Boys finished 2nd falling one point short of winning the championship. 6th Grade Girls went 3-1 also finishing in 2nd place. The 5th Girls had a rough road in a 5th/6th division. The 4th Grade Girls played in the 4Real Sports Spring Shootout in Shawnee Mission, Ks. The girls finished 2-2 and brought home 2nd place. Both the Okun and KC Premiere leagues are now underway featuring our 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th girls along with 2nd, both 3rd, and 4th boys teams. Next weekend the 9th Girls, 4th Girls, 5th Boys, and 3rd Select Boys plan to play in tournaments. The first track meet is just around the corner April 30th.

The 6th Grade Girls won the Johnson County Premiere April Classic held in the Shawnee Mission School District over the weekend going 2-0 with wins over the Lady Tigers and The Dreanteam. The 8th Grade Girls and 6th Grade Select Boys competed in the Shawnee Mission East Invitational both teams brought home 2nd place finishes. The 4th grade girls played in the KC and One Tournament also in Shawnee Mission. The girls went 1-2 finishing 3rd in a 4th/5th division. Okun League standings find the 8th Grade Girls at 2-0, 4th Grade Boys 1-1, 4th Grade Girls 2-0 and 3rd Grade Boys 2-0. Premiere League games start this weekend for the 9th Grade Girls, 5th Grade Girls, 3rd Grade Select Boys, and 2nd Grade Boys. Track practice is also underway. The 4th Grade Girls started off the weekend with a win in their first league game at Okun. They spent the next two days playing at Penn Valley Community College and UMKC in the 4Real Sports/USSSA KC Classic. The girls went 0-3 but played hard losing the three games by a total of 11 points. The 5th Grade Boys also entered the tournament and went 2-0 in pool play with wins over the Hawks and Blaze on Saturday. Sunday started bracket play which found the boys winning their first game against the Saints and falling in their next game to the eventual tournament champs the St.Joe Bulls.

The 8th Grade Girls competed in the USSSA Winter Nationals in Lawrence, Ks. this past weekend. The weekend started off on Friday evening with the skills competition and opening ceremonies. The Force showed well with Hailey White winning the free throw competition, Holly Ewert and Kaleigh Taylor won the duo hot spot shootout and the team won the women's 3-point shootout. On Saturday the Force defeated the Lady Greyhounds in the first game then lost to the eventual national champion Missouri Thunder. Sunday morning the ladies fell to the Lady Prospects before defeating the Prowlers. It was a good weekend with some hard fought games. They followed up the weekend with a win in their first league game Monday evening. This weekend the 5th Grade Boys and 4th Grade girls will be playing in the MSY/USSSA KC Classic on the campus of UMKC.

The 6th Grade Select Boys and 4th Grade Boys competed in the MAYB Shawnee Mission West Classic this past weekend. The 6th Grade went 4-0 on their way to another championship, defeating the Riverdogs, Iowa Rockets and the Knights. The 4th Boys played in the 4th/5th division playing some stiff competion. They competed hard but came up a few points short of advancing in their first tournament. This weekend the 8th Grade Girls will be playing in the USSSA Winter Nationals in Lawrence, Ks.

This past weekend was the MSP/USSSA State Tournament for the 2nd Grade Boys, 3rd Grade Select Boys, and 6th Grade Select Boys. The 6th Grade Select Boys came out with the best finish finishing 3rd losing in the semi finals to the eventual state champs. The 3rd Grade Select Boys went 2-2 and won the consolation bracket. The 2nd grade boys went 0-3 losing two games by one point.

The 5th grade boys went 5-0 this past weekend winning the MSP/USSSA Mo-Kan State Championship in a ten team division. The boys defeated the Wildcats and Hoop Dogs in pool play before defeating the Huskies and Spartans in tournament play earning them a spot in the championship game were they would have a rematch with the Hoop Dogs. In a hard fought game the Force came away with a three point victory. Jahleal Sweet earned the tournament MVP voted on by opposing coaches. The 8th Grade Girls went 1-1 in pool play and 2-1 in tournament play coming up four points shy of the state title. The girls finished a strong second place with victories over the Prowlers, Tigers and St. Louis Family Rockets. Emily Babcock earned the tournament MVP. The 6th Grade Girls took home third place going 2-2. The girls played well for only having seven girls with victories over the Blue Valley Stars and the St. Louis Family Rockets before falling to the KC Jazz. They also finished league play on Sunday at Okun coming out with a second place finish. The 8th Grade Select Girls had a rough road playing in Division 1 going 1 -2 with a victory over the West Missouri Wolfpack. All in all it was a very good weekend of basketball. All the Force teams should be proud. Next weekend brings the start of the State Tournament for the 2nd, 3rd Select, and 6th Select Boys.

Four FORCE teams participated in this past weekends Metro Sports/USSSA Smithville Classic played in Smithville and Liberty, Mo. The 6th Grade Select Boys came out on top going 3-1 with wins over the Razorbacks, Rim Rockers, and winning the championship game over the KC Swarm. The 8th Grade Select Girls finished 3rd coming up four points short from being in the championship game. The 8th Grade Girls and 5th Grade Girls also participated in the tournament. This weekend marks the start of the USSSA MoKan State Championships. The 8th Grade Select Girls, 8th Grade Girls, 6th Grade Girls, and 5th Grade Boys will be competing this weekend. No tournaments were played this past weekend but there was still league play. Both 8th Grade Girls teams, 6th Grade Girls, as well as the 3rd Grade Select Boys played league games on Sunday. Teams are gearing up for a busy next three weeks. The 3rd Grade Select Boys are in the championship game of the Preimere League on Sunday the 6th Grade Girls and 8th Grade Girls (White) also have league games Sunday. Also this weekend is the MSY/USSSA tournament in Smithville for both 8th Grade Girls teams, 6th Grade Select Boys, and the 5th Grade Girls and then the MSP/USSSA State Tournaments the folowing two weekends. The FORCE will enter eleven to twelve teams into the State Tournaments. Should be and exciting next three weeks.

MSP/USSSA Frostbite Showdown Champions!
This was the first tournament for the 2nd grade boys team but this didn't stop them from going 3-1 and winning the championship with wins over the KC Heat, KC Blue Devils and the St. Joe Hoyas. The 8th Grade Select Girls also went 3-1 and won their first championship of the new year. They defeated the NW Cougars, Lawson Cardinals and the Cameron KAOS on their way to the title.

The 6th Grade Boys Select team took first place this past weekend at the Metro Sports Youth/USSSA Winter Warm-up Tournament held at UMKC and Levo Gym. The boys went 3-0 on their way to the championship defeating the Lee's Summit Saints, KC Tigers, and the Lenexa Bulls. The 5th Grade Girls also competed this weekend finishing a respectable 3rd place.

Congrats to the 5th Grade Boys team on winning the MSP/USSSA Mid-Season Shootaround this past weekend. The boys went 2 -1 in pool play defeating the KC Spartans and the Silver Lake Heat with their loss coming to the ONW Ravens. They would get a rematch in the championship game against the Ravens and come out with a 3 point double overtime victory for the title. The 6th Grade Girls finished 2 - 1 in pool play with victorys over the Chillicothe Blue Devils and the B3C X-Plosion and falling to the Phenom Comets. They would get a rematch with the Comets in the championship game but fell 4 points short. It was a good showing with a 2nd place finish. The 8th Grade Select Girls also competed in the tournament making it to the winners bracket before getting knocked out by the Kansas Hoopsters.
